In search of some Australian press, sunglass company Sabre thought Evie, with a M.O including an infamous April fools day prank, might be a worthy partner. Sabre asked their hand in collaboration, and said ‘let us go and create.’ The two bonded seamlessly and, with trademark Evie audacity, a life-sized castle fashioned from cardboard with a timber frame was built on the pier at St Kilda. It was to contain 200 hundred revelers, along with a bar and a band.

And then a storm came. And the castle looked to blow off the pier and into the water. And hipsters and models screamed and threw themselves on the end of ropes. And they wrenched and fought like the Lilliputians did Gulliver. A panel was ripped from the castle and flew out to sea, but the structure was retained. For safety reasons, however, the party was moved to Evie’s Chapel street lair and with the help of the their vast network and Sabre proprietor, Brooke himself, the liquor was ferried and the rager was back on in thirty minutes.
